Another fun way to use your Shimmer Paint is by applying it direct to your stamp instead of ink and stamping with it.
I prefer to use a sponge dauber when I do that and you will find that get different looks depending on how much shimmer paint you use and the type of stamp (outlined or solid).
You can also add clear embossing powder just after stamping and the shimmer paint is wet enough to hold it for embossing.

While I don’t normally make Halloween cards I was itching to play with the idea of stamping directly and the fun fence from the farm house framelits.

Make sure you take a closer look at all of the framelits in the Holiday and annual catalog. Many of the sets include framelits that stand alone and do not have a coordinating stamp image in the set. Lots of fun framelits out there like this fence, fun borders and more.

Close up of image. For this one I added a little more shimmer paint to give the moon more of a dimensional look and less stamped look.

And while Halloween is just around the corner don’t discredit adding this set to your collection. The grunge and moon piece have uses beyond Halloween.
