Welcome back to another Gate Week Project. We are on project #5. Which means on Monday we will draw our prize winner. Details on the blog candy and how to win at end of post.
For today’s project I have an uber quick and easy Halloween Decor project that features 3 great products from the 2017 Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog:
1. Detailed Gate Thinlits
2. Cat Punch
3. Pick A Pumpkin Bundle
The gate was cut 3 times and on the largest candle the full gate was used, on the medium gate we cut the bottom decorate piece off and for the smallest candle we used only the fancy filigree top of the gate.
The gate is cut from Smoky slate cardstock that has been stamped with the marble background. You can see more about and more ideas HERE
The pumpkins are stamped with assorted “oranges” – pumpkin pie, cajun craze, tango tangerine and die cut.
I used glut dots to adhere because I didn’t want the gates to be permanently attached to these battery operated candles. I like to repurpose the candles in home decor projects and Stampin’ UP! displays.
And as mentioned at the beginning here are the details for winning these dies! Good luck!
Leave a comment for your chance to win. Winner announced day after Gate Idea post #7

These are awesome! The light really shows off the intricate detail of the gate die! And there is that cute cat punch again… I think it’s calling my name!
Thank you. You will love it.
Nice touch! I love the warm glow of the candles ☺
Thank you.
I love this idea…so very lovely!! And being able to remove and reuse the candle is a wonderful idea! Thank you Janet!
Thank you.
Clever idea. I’m liking this gate thing.
Thank you.
Love the detachable decor idea for the battery operated candles Janet. Fun, fun, fun!
Thank you.
I really haven’t paid too much attention to this gate as there are other things I want more. But, on these candles – wow, what impact they make. I do like the cat and pumpkins with the gates too. That paste stuff makes the bricks look so realistic behind the wrought iron gate on the one card. Great job as always. I know I won’t be lucky to win them but that somebody will be pretty excited to win them.
Oh, I sent you a box of cards for the relief effort yesterday, just 12 I think as I had already made over 75 to send to Texas. Thank you for doing this too.
with my accident this week I haven’t picked up my mail regularly. I am excited to ssee what you sent.
GREAT idea! Thanks

I absolutely love this idea! And the gate thinlet, cat pinch & pumpkin bundle are so versatile!
They make a great combination.
I love the idea of repurposing the candles by using glue dots, a wonderful idea!
Thank you. It’s much more cost effective and environmentally friendly!
Omg! These candles with the gate die and pumpkins are wonderful! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you.
Love it! Great idea for Halloween!

Why didn’t I ever think to decorate the large candles? I decorate the tealights for charity.
The big candles have more crafting surface. Can’t wait to see what you’re inspired to do.
Janet, Beautiful Halloween candles. Again that Gate thinlits are so versatile. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
this is my favorite type of Halloween project! Love Home Dec stuff.
Crafts not cards is my preference. Love creating pretties for my home.
