Our summer mini May 1st will have this great single stamp: Land of the Free. Being a vet and having been married on the 4th of July I love patriotic things and red/white/blue. This $8.95 stamp with the words to our Star Spangled Banner is a great addition to any stamp collection. I also thought something patriotic would be appropriate as I finish up my taxes today. No matter how long they extended it I am sure myself like some of you would still wait until t he last minute.

You have heard me say before I do not scrapbook chronologically. I scrapbook based on inspiration from a stamp, picture, embellishment, magazine, etc. I also am no where near caught up. This photos were actually in one of the old albums that are not good for pictures. I have been trying to scrap them whenever possible and as always I am thankful to a) not be caught up and b) not scrap chronologically. If I had been all caught up I wouldn’t have had these fun pictures to use with our new Land of the Free stamp. I would have had to wait until this 4th of July to capture some pictures and yes as a scrapper I have been known to stage photos just to use a certain idea, designer paper or embellishment – admit if you scrap you have too!
