Happy Good Friday. I love Easter. It’s one of my favorite holidays. I love the reason we celebrate it, I love that it happens as spring begins and I love that it features some of my favorite foods like deviled eggs. 

Our family has a long-standing tradition of gathering at the Lehman farm for a potluck, family time and easter egg hunt. This year we are trying something new for our potluck – pasta. It will prove to be different and interesting as we forgo some of the usual dining favorites but while food is an important part of our family gatherings, it is not the most important part. Family and time together is. We are expecting temps in the 80’s making it one of the hottest Easter’s in my lifetime. We’ve hunted eggs in snow, bundled up like Eskimos and of course in warm sunshine. But nothing like what we are expecting this weekend. The warm sunshine should make for stunning sunrise Easter services.
