So this past Sunday we were at a dog show and had some time to kill since Teague did well and got to go to groups. I love it when that happens because it means we get to explore the area around the shows many of which are new to us. So anyway, while trying to find some fields, pumpkins, fall colors for a photo op with the boys I stumbled
on this cute little shop – The Pink Cabbage. A little new, a little old, a little new made to look old.. just my favorite kind of shop.
Inside the doors of this eclectic shop I spied this cloche instantly and knew it had a place in my home and in my studio. Someone had brilliantly glued a flower frog to the top of it. Not only did a few zillion ideas fly into my head for how I could use this and how I could alter it seasonally I now also knew what to do with a few of the frogs I have since I seem to have a collection of them. Now to treasure hunt the perfect glass dome to adhere some to. Such a hard problem to have. Love treasure shopping.
Here is their original that I purchased:
Here is how I “stampin’ up!”ed it! This would have been perfect on the trunk coffee table with postcards at my daughters recent vintage travel themed wedding. I have a
RemARKably quick video for the flowers on my business facebook page – you can see it HERE (and while there why not like the page and subscribe to it … I post lots of inspiration and that is where my new RemARKably quick videos are).
these are the fun supplies I used for the embellishment on the cloche. Shop anytime – or request a complimentary catalog from me via the contact me link on the side bar.
Janet … oh my love this idea even better the materials are in my house!! Question on how the flower frog is attached to glass cloche?? What a fun find in such an adorable looking shop. Thanks for the help and inspiration.
I bought it that way so i do not know what adhesive they used – it just appears glued.
