I spent the day antiquing, junking, vintage shopping and visiting little shops that are a mix of old and what I can wanna-be old items (reproductions). The one design element that struck me over and over was antlers – wrought iron, wood, metal, real – single antlers, whole heads, whole racks – antlers as towel racks, as accent pieces -you name it.
I noticed them because we have quite a few deer, antler patterned dsp and even a plain antler rack in the holiday catalog.
Here is the first of many anterled theme projects. It is posed in my other n ew fun find – just the spine of a book. I think I need a band saw.
