I recently did a week of free events for my customers locally. I know many of you live too far away and many of you asked about my free intro to Project Life. It’s actually very simple and I have a video from that class to share.
Each month I will be hosting a Project Life/Scrapbook crop where my customers and team members can come work on Project life Pocket style scrapbooking or traditional scrapbooking or digital scrapbooking or anything in between.
Each event will include:
a. the basics for those who want and need that (My free intro class includes 2 page protectors, journaling cards to complete those pages, instruction, grid cards)
b. A short fun themed class and project
c. Use of my tools
d. Prepurchase opportunities for product to use at the event earning you FREE crops
e. Me to support and encourage
f. Beverages and light snacks
g. Friends to ooh and ahh over your photos and pages
h. Time out for you to take some me time to capture the memories and moments that matter
Janet,
Great intro to Project Life! Loved the tip to record events Front to Back. Thanks for sharing your creativity for memory keeping. Looking forward to the next project.
thank you
Janet – quick question on the Project Life Video… (first off, loved it – great job, wish I lived close to you).
My question is on YOUR ALBUM that you showed – I understand the story on the front and back vs a 2 page layout… however, like the Halloween one you showed, you only filled the front side, with nothing on the backside…. what do you put in there then? On that back side of the Halloween one?
Thanks for your help… Mary
Mary – what goes on the back depends on whether you are scrappin chronologically. If I am doing Chronologically I would simply start with the next activity on the time line, if I am doing a theme it would be another page along the lines of the theme.
Hi Janet,
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this fantastic video!!! I actually felt like I was right there in the studio with you! I am a traditional scrapbooker and very much need an “easier” way to scrapbook as I am so far behind and getting overwhelmed and anxiety kicking in the feeling the “have to” continue this way. I have not tried the PL, but am going to now thanks to your video. I figure I can combine the PL and the traditional, but it looks like I will lean more toward the PL…. so much faster!!!!
I hope you continue to do some PL videos in this format, because, again, I really felt like I was right there at your event! Would love to learn some PL techniques in videos like this!!
Thank you for taking the time to do these videos!
Trish
Thank you for the feedback it is always appreciated and helps me grow and provide better servivce. The future project life classes will most certainly be done in this style.
Thank you for sharing the process of project life. I’m wondering is it ok to combine different page layouts side by side? Also, sometimes I have horizontal photos and verticle photos that I would want on the same page. Is there a page layout with that configuration ?
The best thing about this is there are no rules – it’s what works for you and what is appealing to you. Our project life page assortment has both horizontal and vertical layouts in the package.
