I have discovered a new love that some of you have known and used for a long time. Scrapbook sketches AKA Page maps or Scrap Maps. I especially love the ones when they include the dimensions. I had always known about them and had even used them a few times but had not really embraced them.
I struggled with the translations from the sketch to reality, trying to picture the finished project in my mind. I guess it’s a case of the more you use something the more you grow comfortable with it and the more you realize the value of them.
Whatever the reason I am glad it all finally clicked, It clicked so much that I now have a board on pinterest for SKETCHES and you can bet these won’t be the last Pinterest Inspired Sketch Layouts you will see.
Here’s the Sketches – as you will see from the finished pages below some resemble the sketch pretty close and some were just what I needed to go off in my own direction.
If you are new to My Digital Studio sketches are a great way to learn and explore the features and possibilities.
All elements (except fonts) are all My Digital Studio downloads from Stampin’UP!
Love this article Jan! I too love sketches! I sketch before making any project – now if only I had collected every one since the beginning…lol! I too keep a board for sketches myself. Makes creating so much easier. I love your pages!
