My two german shorthair pointer puppies are the love of my empty nest. With my two kids away at college these two pups keep me busier than my kids ever did. I found it easier to raise my kids than 2 house dogs. What was I thinking?? I can’t just put them in a stroller or frontback and go everywhere with them. We can’t even take them to dinner with us 🙂 But they make me smile and they keep me company.
Here is a simple Valentine time from Teague & Marburg featuring My Digital Studio. They do melt my heart.
I love the pictures you have of them resting together — pals for life!! My dogs do the same thing, and it just melts my heart. We have father & son Yorkies, and the father ALWAYS has to go outdoors, check out the situation, then come right back in and go wake up his son and tell him (silent language) to get up and go outside with him. It is so freakin funny!! I don’t know if dad is afraid to go outside by himself, or if he just wants to maintain his rank in the family, as the boss. I agree they aren’t as easy as children (especially because we can’t just get a babysitter); but the love and devotion they give us are priceless!
They sound so sweet.
Thank you, Jan…have to say that this is by far the sweetest Valentine card that I’ve seen!!!!!
