This past weekend was the annual Redneck Party hosted by Doug’s cousin Rick and his family at their farm in Glenrock. We love this party.
Dress down, let loose, be silly, tell stories, eat good, drink good, make new friends, play games, tractor rides, pee in the woods, make mountain pies, sit around the fire, hang with family.
HERE is myHIS & HER HOSTESS gifts and REDNECK contribution for this year .
HER’s is a little yard decor – I however wanted it to look like the tablets we envision Moses carrying down the mountain with a little redneck flair. The banners and background was done in MDS. The “tablets’ are halloween decorations repurposed for this project.
HIS is a little cake! Rick is a Farmall guy so hence the Red tractors! Thank goodness for MDS – I do not own a stamp set with a tractor but I do own MDS and a tractor download I used the pennant big shot die with camo felt for the cake bunting and in lieu of any fancy bunting I chose duct tape. I felt that was more appropriate.
AND HERE is a trip down memory lane -previous contributions over the last couple of years –
Redneck Hostess Gift – who new you could use rhinestone brads and our retired hodgepodge and live 22 ammo to make jewelry! I wish I had saved the “instructions to wearer” I included with these , they were just as funny – since it’s live AMMO! – Caution intended as jewelry only not responbible for any other uses, Do not wear around fire, do not expose to extreme heat, etc.
Redneck Welcome Sign – Not sure that was how our big shot was intended to be used but it sure works great on welcome signs!
Redneck Wind Chimes – no stamping here just plain fun
Redneck Wine Glasses – I used MDS to create inserts for the lids – SHU-BEE Wine Company. The lids were actually very practical as sweat bees are common as is spilling as the evening wears on!
Redneck Road Kill Pudding – Used lots of fun halloween goodies out there- worms, eyeballs, skeleton candy – chocolate pudding, oreo crumbs. Stampin’UP! stamps made for a great food sign!
Redneck Wedding Cake – No stamping here again just plain fun!
CRAFTING REDNECK JOY Y’ALL!
JANET
OH…MY…GOSH…this has to be the most HILARIOUS group of redneck decor I have ever seen!!! My favorite: the redneck wedding cake at the bottom, which would never be complete without the twinkies and ho-ho’s. Oh man, I can’t imagine how much laughing must go on at this event. No wonder you love this party!
