This door was in the French Quarter of New Orleans. While Kristin will be living in Lafayette and we did explore that city and lots of the surrounding area and gulf coast we couldn’t resist a few days in New Orleans. It was Kristin’s first visit to the city and being a musician herself she really loved the street musicians and the bands we were able to hear. We had two amazing tour guides one four our Cemetary/Voodoo Tour and one for our Scandalous Cocktail Tour. Both born and raised N’awlins folk with personal stories as well as the historical “facts”. We left much to see though and are thankful for the 5+ years she will have to learn the history, culture and ecology of the absolutely beautiful state. i could easily spend a few months a year here!

Crafting Joy
Janet
I’m catching up on some blogs today (yep, had to spend time in the other world), and had to comment on this absolutely beautiful page. I know I say that a lot when looking at your creations Janet, but truly, this page is one that goes down as a “master.” The photos look like “impressionism” paintings (Monet and Renoi), don’t you think? My two very best styles are vintage and impressionism (i.e., 19th century). I’m so glad you used some “torn” paper in the layout to go with the era. I would like to see the Floral District DSP with a few “swips” of Whisper White and Crumb Cake brushed on with wide paint brush or direct to paper (just a little). Oh my, I am so in love with these two pictures of your daughter. Thank you so much for sharing, now go back to that spot and take more pictures — truly!!
