I pulled out all the tools for this banner – Big Shot, MDS, Glue Gun… I loved how this turned out and Blessed Not Lucky is my Spring “theme” if you will. You will see it in my MDS scrapbook page later this week as well as it will show up in other spring decor.

When I went to create this I wanted to incorporate this cool idea I saw on pinterest. Do you ever see something and think “I know just how I could do that?”. Well I had that thought after seeing this…

I immediately thought -oooohhhhh this would be so quick and easy with our Big Shot XL Tasteful Trim die. So I set about cutting felt, cutting my scalloped piece just like the picture, threading my needle and sewing just  like the picture, gathering my felt pieces just like the picture.. WELL! My shamrocks don’t look JUST LIKE THE PICTURE! What I learned:
1. Heavy felt is too thick
2. Our scallops are two shallow
3. Our scallops are spaced to wide
4. When you gather our scallops they look like flowers not four leaf clovers.

Oh well – in MY PICTURE you will see 2 pretty green flowers on my banner. They were created using the steps above that are supposed to create a shamrock.  I looked like it was supposed to work in the picture I had in my mind!

BLESSED NOT LUCKY BANNER elements and supplies ALL Stampin’ UP!

MDS I used MDS to create the bottom layer – I found that first I didn’t own all these different varieties of green designer paper and by printing the image of the DSP onto cardstock I had a more stable base. I also used MDS for the Blessed Not Luck, Blessed and SO blessed greetings.
