It’s Labor day weekend and for us that means the annual redneck party at the Lehman farm – my husband’s cousin. This event is slowly becoming a 3 day retreat. Fun, food, family and this year amazing weather. A few years ago I started creating redneck decorations, treats and or hostess gifts of course always trying to incorporate Stampin’ UP! product. It’s fun to have a new outlet and use for my craft stash.
You can see just a few of my past creations here on my Redneck Pinterest board – Roadkill pudding, redneck wine glasses (before they were popular), shotgun shell wreath, chimes, redneck ten commandments and more.
This year I created Redneck Centerpieces – I used chipboar from our cardstock and the big shot to cut circles for the base and then after gluing the shotgun shells on added a touch of naturas ribbon
I didn’t just want to write my name of my red solo cup and figured a little bling was more me – Basic and Large Rhinestones from Stampin’ UP! did the task nicely.
I also wanted a fun pin to wear and used an old camo tshirt, duct tape, the bottom of a shot gun shell and the retired flower folds die.
My gift to the hostess was a redneck birdfeeder!
Lastly this year I used MDS and an appropriately named download called “She’s all that” to create some redneck party favors
You really outdid yourself this year Janet!!! Love the birdfeeder, I have to make one for my brother as he is such a “redneck” — actually I think I probably am also! Love it every year when you have this reunion and share your goodies.
