RemARKable Stampers – RAD TRIP 2011

For the past 9 years my directs and dreambuilders ( a business focus group within the RemARKable Stampers) have had a chance to earn RAD – an incentive trip I host. The first 2 years we journeyed to the Smoky Mountains, the next year to Philadelphia and the last 6 years we have been here at Craft World. My directs and dreamers enjoy field trips, projects, and the last few years overnighted new product as our retreat has coincided with the release of the new mini product preorder period for demonstrators. In addition there is no cooking, no cleaning for 3-4 days as my husband and I take care of them and many spend the days in their pj’s, enjoy walks, watch movies, laugh like crazy and I know if it were not for the mandatory quiet time from 2am-6am so the help can get some rest many would never sleep.

This year our event was all about chocolate – chocolate in their stockings almost daily, a trip to Hershey, Hershey cocoa bath scrubs, wash and lotions, Hershey lip balm, hershey shopping bag, chocolate fondue, early espresso headband, amazing hershey cupcakes, dark chocolate cocoa for the kuerig and chocolate on the sweet and salty bar.

This year we had teammates from Michigan, New York, Massachusetts, Virginia, North Carolina,Maryland and Pennsylvania in the house!

I invite you to join my team for your chance to attend my directs InSPArational Weekend or your chance to earn RAD X 2012 –

I had the opportunity to spend last weekend with RemARKable Leader Linda Hunt and her team of Hoppy 2 B Stampers in Housatonic, Massachusetts.  Linda actually got me to stamp – normally I just like to visit and chat. Thanks Julia for the great Halloween Bingo and Sandy for the warm apple cider donuts (to die for) and for Pam and Dolores who joined us  by Skype it was fun to learn a new trick to use in my business and for all the other Hoppy 2 B stampers who spent the day with us and shared their stories and creativity.

RemARKable November Team Gathering

Another fun day of creativity, friendship and business tips. In keeping with our cooking theme I displayed samples of the make n’takes on each table with a cookie sheet

Several created aprons for the day and I added a fun touch to a chef’s hat that was way too big.

We enjoyed a great presentation by Kathy Winland on Soot Stamping, How to tie bows using a Fork by Connie Diebler and a great demo by Kathy Johnson on Stained Glass window technique. Deb Lehigh did a great display with Got Treats, Linda Nagle wowed us with fabric based projects, Missy make good use of waffle paper with her display, and Diane Kanode provided sweet ideas for Valentines. We created 6  make n’takes featuring Candy Cane DSP to keep and 1 holiday card we personalized with our own message that I wil deliver to a local shelter for the holidays. The creativity and business chats were fueled by yogurt, assorted breads and lots of chocolate. We brainstormed crazy business slogans, recognized our top sales, top recruiting, bright ideas, and heart award winners. We swapped, gave away lots of door prizes, voted for our favorite swap and took lots of pictures of the show n’ share projects brought by all attendees. Each attendee received a little whisk with tag it and several had adorable embellished kitchen utensils to show off. It was truly Another RemARKable Event indeed!

Our events are open to all demonstrators and to guests of the RemARKable Stampers. Our next event is January 22nd, 2011, in Spring Grove, PA. Hope you join us for a great day!

Dreambuilders

Within my team of RemARKable Stampers I have a business focus group we call the Dreambuilders. This group has been in place for a few years now and is designed to provide additional support, incentive, challenges, networking, encouragement , accountability, friendship and more. It’s an amazing group of woman. Imagine my surprise at Disney World when I saw that even Disney thought it was a great idea :)  (Grin!!)

There were several areas where they were remodeling and in all those areas that had random plaques up with quotes from Walt Disney himself. Of course I had to take a picture of each and everyone I could find and will be incorporating them into our training, dreambuilder blog and more.

If you are a RemARKable check your inbox this week for details on this focus group. If you are not a demonstrator I would love to have you join my team – remember just a few more days to get the kit on sale – Click on Join now above – my recruiter ID is remarks07.

Here is just one of the many quotes from Walt..

Our RemARKable Team Gathering this past Saturday focused on being in the “SHIPPING” business – Ownership, leadership, craftsmanship, relationship, showmanship and more. We learned that the ship we sail as Stampin’ UP! demonstrators has definitely come in and that our S.H.I.P – Stampin’  Has It’s Privileges – is an amazing ship full of more benefits than any real job.  Join the RemARKables today to begin experiencing them for yourselves – ASK me how. You could also be attending our bi-monthly events making cute projects like this.

To coordinate with the meeting theme – I found this great quote by Mark Twain that we turned into a fun 5×7 framed piece of art to inspire us.

Supplies used – Sahara Sand cardstock, Whisper White cardstock, Chocolate Chip Cardstock, Not quite navy cardstock, Bashful Blue Cardstock, Stampin’ UP! Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder, Big Shot Scallop Square Die,  Big Shot Clear Circle Die, Heart Punch, Chocolate Chip Epoxy Brad, Linen Thread

Well RAD is over – 2 full weekends of spoiling 27 REMARKABLE ladies.  A surprise trip to Boyd’s Bear in Gettysburg, PA -was the perfect place for our group photo op & some fun candids.  All the RAD achievers received Flannel Snuggies/shoulder wraps to wear in their stamp rooms that I had sewn for them. The flannel is the same flannel I had used for their name plate at their places.  Fabric is easily cut with our big shot dies making it a fun and soft/3 dimensional embellishment for a scrapbook page.

RAD I participants – Lois Good, Julia Green, Jill Hilliard, Linda Hunt, Ella Kump,  Becky Jensen, Debbie Lever, Nancy Martin, Michele Reynolds, Carolyn Serviss, Carol Slack, Emily Tull, Kelly Ward,

RADweek2

Remember this photo – the Bear place settings served double duty – first as their place marker and second as a fun embellishment on their scrapbook pages. All RAD attendees made the first page above and the next one below.
