I so excited to finally kick this off. This is something that has been on my blog wishlist for a good bit of time and it’s finally happening.
I am excited to invite you to participate in my monthly RemARKably SPIRITed faith based creative challenge.
Each month I will post a devotion, faith based story, poem or even song that easily translates to a craft. Let the devotion inspire you – cards, scrapbook pages, wall art, digital art, crafts… the key is expressing the devotion as art.
This month is one of my favorite stories entitled KEEP THE FORK – download the PDF to enjoy and keep share with others. As you are inspired this month:
1. Create based on KEEP THE FORK
2. Submit your entry to me as a jpeg at janet@remarkablycreated.om throughout the month
3. Check back December 2nd to see all of the entries for that month in a special KEEP THE FORK GALLERY and our special RemARKably SPIRITed Page
4. Be ready to take the new challenge on the 2nd of each month!
KEEP THE FORK – KEEP THE FORK
Here are 3 ideas I came up with to inspire you – all 3 use the SAME MDS image – I just either imported it or printed it different sizes.
*TIP when you start with an 8.5 x 11 image you can easily transfer that image to journals, cards, wall art and more. You can go smaller without losing the details – you cannot always go larger because of pixelation, distortion.
KEEP THE FORK JOURNAL – I plan to use this to record the things that mean a lot to me “my forks” in life! - The cover still needs something in the label on the cover ..

KEEP THE FORK Simply Adorned Charm – I hope that I can use this as a witness tool. I hope it generates questions!! I found really tiny silverware pieces in the Dollhouse aisle of my local craft store, they not only fit perfectly on my 1.5×2 Simply Adorned but I can close it easily – so it fits!

KEEP THE FORK Wall Art – I love to keep things that inspire me around me. I am a very visual person and I think this will do just that. I printed the art on Canvas sheets (more details o n that in tomorrows post), embellished the fork, then wired the fork to the canvas. In addition I added more traditional embellishments (vanilla rosettes, antique brads) to this piece. I am excited to have this piece on display in my home. Frames are my favorite use of the those 40% off coupons from craft stores that burn in my pocket.

Many of you know that I have soft spot for our service members. My husband and I both served (Army Nurse Corps, Navy Submarines) I grew up as the child of a career Army Solider and we have many more family members who served for various branches. What a blessing to enjoy life in America and as an American.
In Honor of Memorial Day and the Soldiers who have served and currently serve I created this fun piece of MDS art in My Digital Studio. You can download a FREE PDF Memorial Day Art Download – enjoy and Thank a Solider today.
I Framed an 8.5 version of this but also created some smaller pieces customized with the names of the husbands of my friends Kimberly, Sherry and Megan for them to wear in Simply Adorned lockets.

I thought I was oh so smart as I worked to create this bracelet. I thought “ooooh – Stampin’ UP! has magnetic sheets these will be awesome on my magentic bracelet” Ah No
They are perfect for the fridge and memo boards but not strong enough for the toppers on my bracelet. I decided to use them anyway because of their thinness and flexibility. They are also punchable.
In case you missed my previous post on how to create this bracelet, you can read it here: Button Bracelet and Leather Bracelet.
Monogram Bracelet: Supplies – All Stampin’ UP! – Magnetic sheets, Beyond The Garden DSP, Chipboard Letters, White Craft Pad, White Embossing Powder

Happy Circles Bracelet: Simple Lollipop Add On – I have seen circles off set like this referred to as Lollipop. Circles #2 Big Shot Die, Designer Buttons

I took our paper daisies and placed them on wax paper and coated them with crystal effects. Allowed them to dry. Turned them over, coated them again. Allowed them to dry. While still wet I sprinkled dazzling diamonds lightly over for a little extra sparkle.
I am finally comfortable again in white jeans/capris and packed them to wear so I needed a bracelet to go with white.

This is the bracelet I wore for the first formal night. My outfit was black and white with really cool rhinestone buttons. This is made from the Circles #2 die, tulle and our basic rhinestones.

My Answer to extra stamps from Sale-a-bration. The image on this fun bracelet is from the Sale-a-bration set Bliss.

I had some fun creating a week of bracelets to wear on the Stampin’ UP! Cruise and actually as always got carried away. This fun interchangeable bracelet was created using a hinged bangle found at a local craft store, magnets and Stampin’ UP! product and it’s oh so fun. Stop by all week as I show off the 12 interchangeable pieces I will be wearing during the week on the Alaskan Cruise.
Join my mailing list this week if you do not have a demonstrator you work with and you could be the winner of one of these. I have 4 that I will be giving away – each will include 2 toppers and the bangle.
I am wearing shades of green a lot for some reason this week so this button bracelet is the first to kick the week off.

Hinged bangle with two flat magnet glue onto it (it has two round bases just like this -however sadly the bracelet itself is not of a metal material for a magnet to stick to – that is why I had to glue flat magnets onto it).

The stronger and flatter the magnets the better. Check the craft aisles as well as the hardware stores!
Bracelet #2 made with Craft leather and Fun Flower Big Shot Die/Jumbo Eyelet – eyelet is set only through top piece of leather -they are then all hot glued together.

Unstoppable – Hybrid Stair Step Card Desk Art

The local Parish Center here in Spring Grove always has the most amazing quotes on their billboard and this week it says “If I could just get going I would be Unstoppable”. I love that and used MDS to create a desktop motivational piece. Julie Mannino a RemARKable Stamper from Michigan was here this past weekend visiting and taught us this modified version of a Stair Step Card she came up with using a 7×11 piece of cardstock. It’s the perfect size for Desk art.
Supplies – MDS, Tickets and Tockets Downloads, Nursery Alphabet Images Stamp Brushes, Pumpkin Pie Cardstock, Wide EarlyEspresso Striped Grosgrain, Vanilla Brad

I of course had to add the Artwork to my growing collection of Simply Adorned Word Art Inserts:
