HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW? With Decor Elements Vinyl Flowers

Our entry hallway is a little narrow and is always getting scuffed. So  in an attempt  to “hide” the marks and keep from having to repaint every few months I decided to plant a Decor vinyl Garden. I mixed and matched various sizes and flowers along my wall.  I still have a few feet to go but it’s growing. I love it – no weeding  and even my husband who is a huge “white” wall fan likes this. Money well spent!

Stampin’ UP! Meets Home Decor

One of my favorite displays at our annual Stampin’ UP! Conventions are the mini rooms they create right before our eyes over the 3 days. These room  show case our product on walls, lamps, and so much more. Our Home Decor Elements Line is a great resource for home decor  as is our stencils. But check out the cute lamp to see our ribbons and buttons in use and of course our new fabric is featured in curtains, fabric ornaments and more.

Red Kitchen – I have been meaning to return to red in my kitchen – when I first got married all my kitchen items were red – ala german/scandanavian feel. This might just be the push I needed. The checks are actually squares of our real red vinyl decor. The curtains are made from one of our soon to be released fabric packs as is the bib, tree skirt and decorations on the silver tinsel tree.

Blue Room – this room features a full wall stenciled with our stencils, a great touch with just a single stencil peaking out behind the mirror, the darling lamp I was telling you about (just bought 2 lampshades this week to duplicate this ) and a great stenciled memo board with paper & ribbon bow.

Mustard Room – this room features Decor Elements on the wall and some of our great new chalkboard organaizers – to do list, calendars, menu’s and more. Love the little touches like the tags on the baskets under the bench featuring newsprint DSP and our chalkboard labels.

Vintage Christmas – I love the way stencils are used to create a “frame for a frame” in this room completed with decorated tree and stenciled packages.Ornaments on the three feature our soon to be released fabric, big shot snowflakes covered with soon to be released glass glitter, and more if you look closely.

GOING GREEN BLOG TOUR DAY #2 – Jelly Bean Prayer & More

Welcome to day #2. Another great term I saw as I was surfing the web for definitions of going green was the term “TRASHformation” I love this. The thought of transforming something that might have ended up in the trash.

Today’s  first project fits that term – this old tin could have ended up  in the trash but we “TRASHFORMED” it.In addition the flowers/leaves and vanilla cardstock were all from my scrap bin. The big shot dies are a great partner for using up scraps.

Recycling #2 – These glass jars were used at Valentines – new candy, new tags.  The larger jar also features something I call “Jar Wraps” instead of adhering things right to your glass jars making it harder to use them over and over I create a wrap for the jar.

Recycling #3 – FRAME – I repurposed this old frame to hold my Jelly Bean Prayer.

ORGANIZATION TIP #2 – Small Scraps. I have a “scrap station” that has 4 buckets – 1 for color scraps, 1 for in color scraps, 1 for DSP scraps and 1 for mini scraps. This bins are labeled for ease of use and accessible. I always reach for my scraps first when punching, using the big shot, making samples or tying something out. The “scrap stations” is also accessible to attendees at my Crop & Crafts and my team events held at stamp world. I also take my buckets of scraps to crops for our “MY SCRAPS ARE YOUR SCRAPS” stations.

Stop by tomorrow for my Repurposed Placemat Apron!!!

Let the Easter decorating begin. Finally got a chance to switch from pink and red to pastels. Still can’t find a rug I like for my powder bath but decided i couldn’t let that stop me from changing the decor. Here are 2 more projects from my “spring” collection. More to come as I finish up my wrought iron trees, candy jar tags and powder bath decor.

BIG SHOT LINENS – couldn’t find any table runners, linens I like for Easter so I made my own – this one is made from Flour Sack towel, Decorative Accents Big Shot die (fusible webbing is an awesome thing), sweet pea stitched Felt pieces, needle, thread. Too easy!

ALL I NEED TO KNOW I LEARNED FROM THE EASTER BUNNY  - easterbunnylesson - FREE PDF to download
Supplies – frame, cardstock vellum, lattice big shot die, woodgrain stamp, close to cocoa ink, chocolate bunny stamp, chocolate chip craft ink, clear embossing powder, bridesmaid specialty paper, sweet pea stitched felt, button latte, linen thread, chocolate chip satin ribbon, kraft taffeta, old lace.

More to come  – stay tuned
