Our RemARKable Team Event this past Saturday and this coming Saturday are themed “Mix & Mingle a Little Holiday Jingle” so I made these fun gifts for door prizes. All feature our Jingle All the Way Decor Elements and striped grosgrain ribbon. White mugs courtesy local dollar store. And peppermint candy hershey kisses are calorie free when you wrap them like this and can’t get at them. I love those things – between those and the Andes Peppermint bark – they just make my holiday.

SPOOKY MANSION – I found this really cool spray paint called STONE at the local craft store. Trust me when you start playing with these houses you will look at the Spray paint aisle with a new set of eyes.
*Tip with this spray paint -I found it to be very wet – it takes longer to dry and your panels may curl a little -assembling the house straightened them right out.

MANSION – Tips
1. If you are decorating the windows -work with the panels BEFORE assembling
2. You can alter any piece -example here I altered the chimney so that it just sits on the house and removes for easy store
3.Play with the pieces -on the house – I roughed up the edges and didn’t stick it super tight – I wanted a dilapidated feel
4. Lots of Sticky Strip and dimensionals work as the best adhesive
SUPPLIES – Stone Spray Paint, Basic Black Waffle Paper, Wicked cool stamp set, Halloween Hoot, Batty For You, Glimmer Brads, Cotton Balls (webbing), wire, craft black ink, black embossing powder, scallop edge punch, textured basic gray cardstock, modern label punch, designer label punch, “words” are cut from a sheet of Nite Owl Designer Paper, Basic Rhinestones.

These new House kits are so quick and easy to create. At just $5.95 you can easily purchase one for every child you know to decorate their own. Or purchase one for every season. They are sturdy and come with instructions and a template if you choose to use designer papers to embellish.
I chose to create a mini school house to finish out my school vignette. The paper the house is made from is a sturdy white cardboard that is easily altered with spray paints. For my school house I chose to use crackle spray paint. I also used the hobby blade to cute a rectangle opening from the chimney so that you could see the school house bell. Lastly before assembling I added cardstock vellum to the inside of the windows and stamped smiling children’s faces with the All in the Family stamp set. Lastly I used the naturally serif alphabet to add letters and the word school. Simple project.
You can order yours anytime by clicking on shop now above. Don’t forget to add a roll of sticky tape to your order – this tape perfectly secures the house together.

*Tip – note how my roof is not quite straight??? The sticky tape really sticks fast so make sure you lline up your roof starting with the center point – so yours doesn’t look like this! I always say I can tell you how not to do things!!!

Stampin’ UP! samples – watch for my own Haunted Mansion, Fall House is a Home, Holiday House and more. They are painted and just waiting for assembly. A new crafty addiction.

Here are some more ideas for decorations, treats and greetings. I love that SU provides us with so much inspiration – conventions, regionals, stampin’ connection that now has over 100,000 samples shared by demonstrators, our monthly full color Stampin’ Success, samples on their web www.stampinup.com , swaps, team events, and more. It makes it easy to be creative. A speaker at our retreat recently said – I bet you hear “I’m not creative” a lot in your business, and of course she was right. “Well, she said, just tell them ‘ You just bring you, Stampin’ UP! brings the creative.” And it’s so true. No creativity is needed that’s what you have me for and I can honestly say that you learn as you go and there is always something new exciting and fun to learn.
**Remember this month you get a FREE craft tote to “bring the creative” in when you join Stampin’UP!. Would love to help you! Click here for more details… (This offer expires September 30th don’t miss out).

HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW? With Decor Elements Vinyl Flowers

Our entry hallway is a little narrow and is always getting scuffed. So in an attempt to “hide” the marks and keep from having to repaint every few months I decided to plant a Decor vinyl Garden. I mixed and matched various sizes and flowers along my wall. I still have a few feet to go but it’s growing. I love it – no weeding and even my husband who is a huge “white” wall fan likes this. Money well spent!
