Look at this beautiful Rosette Tree and Angle that RemARKable Linda Nagle made for me. The tree is over 15″ tall without the angel on top. Too fun! Thank you Linda. I know that my holiday visitors yesterday loved being able to see her and the rest of my December visitors will love her as well. It’s fun to share creative talents like that. A gift like this can’t be enjoy by just one person – when you set a handmade gift like this on a table, counter it extends the gift to others.

Sneak Peak – Stampin’ UP! Big Shot Bigz Designer Rosette

This new die has so many possibilities you are going to absolutely NEED to add it to your Big Shot Collection. You can choose to make the doily as large as I did here – can you just see this at a shower, decorating a party or even a wedding? I have so many ideas in my head it’s crazy. But you don’ thave to use it this big – you can choose to cut the 6×12 scored piece into strips after you die cut it, or you can cut narrower strips before you die cut.
This die not only cuts, but it scores at 1/2″ increments and it cuts two different decorate edges.
Here is your first look at this new die. The finished doily is 12 inches in diameter!!

This simple project uses 1 sheet of 12×12 and NO Adhesive for the basic pocket holder! I love how the Holly Bouquet paper is not only great for the Christmas HOlidays but the red glimmer dots, red glimmer stripes and roses are so perfect for Valentines as well.
Supplies
1 12×12 Holly Bouquet Designer Paper
2 4×4 Holly Bouquet Designer Paper
1 6×6 Red Glimmer Paper
Big Shot Petal Cone Die
Very Vanilla Velvet Ribbon
Simply Scored
Bone Folder
STEP ONE – Fold your 12 x 12 Cardstock diagonally and crease well with bone folder

STEP TWO Score 1/2 inch on both sides of this center fold you just made

STEP THREE – place your points at the 8 inch mark top and side on the simply scored tool and score at 5 3/4. You will not be able to score end to end so simply rotate your paper so you can complete the score line

STEP FOUR – With your paper laying so the points are top/bottom, side/side – fold on the score marks you just made to the inside of your project.

STEP FIVE – fold in half on your original score mark (when you created the diagonal by folding in STEP ONE)

STEP SIX – Fold each side back again along the 1/2 inch score mark you made

HERE IS A SIDE VIEW

STEP 8 Embellish pockets as desired – I chose to cut a piece of red glimmer paper which quickly and easily created this large heart.

STEP 9 Punch two holes at top, thread ribbon of choice & Fill your pockets – chocolate, cards, other small gifts

Our RemARKable Team Event this past Saturday and this coming Saturday are themed “Mix & Mingle a Little Holiday Jingle” so I made these fun gifts for door prizes. All feature our Jingle All the Way Decor Elements and striped grosgrain ribbon. White mugs courtesy local dollar store. And peppermint candy hershey kisses are calorie free when you wrap them like this and can’t get at them. I love those things – between those and the Andes Peppermint bark – they just make my holiday.

RemARKably SPIRITed – Monthly faith based creative challenge – KEEP THE FORK

I so excited to finally kick this off. This is something that has been on my blog wishlist for a good bit of time and it’s finally happening.
I am excited to invite you to participate in my monthly RemARKably SPIRITed faith based creative challenge.
Each month I will post a devotion, faith based story, poem or even song that easily translates to a craft. Let the devotion inspire you – cards, scrapbook pages, wall art, digital art, crafts… the key is expressing the devotion as art.
This month is one of my favorite stories entitled KEEP THE FORK – download the PDF to enjoy and keep share with others. As you are inspired this month:
1. Create based on KEEP THE FORK
2. Submit your entry to me as a jpeg at janet@remarkablycreated.om throughout the month
3. Check back December 2nd to see all of the entries for that month in a special KEEP THE FORK GALLERY and our special RemARKably SPIRITed Page
4. Be ready to take the new challenge on the 2nd of each month!
KEEP THE FORK – KEEP THE FORK
Here are 3 ideas I came up with to inspire you – all 3 use the SAME MDS image – I just either imported it or printed it different sizes.
*TIP when you start with an 8.5 x 11 image you can easily transfer that image to journals, cards, wall art and more. You can go smaller without losing the details – you cannot always go larger because of pixelation, distortion.
KEEP THE FORK JOURNAL – I plan to use this to record the things that mean a lot to me “my forks” in life! - The cover still needs something in the label on the cover ..

KEEP THE FORK Simply Adorned Charm – I hope that I can use this as a witness tool. I hope it generates questions!! I found really tiny silverware pieces in the Dollhouse aisle of my local craft store, they not only fit perfectly on my 1.5×2 Simply Adorned but I can close it easily – so it fits!

KEEP THE FORK Wall Art – I love to keep things that inspire me around me. I am a very visual person and I think this will do just that. I printed the art on Canvas sheets (more details o n that in tomorrows post), embellished the fork, then wired the fork to the canvas. In addition I added more traditional embellishments (vanilla rosettes, antique brads) to this piece. I am excited to have this piece on display in my home. Frames are my favorite use of the those 40% off coupons from craft stores that burn in my pocket.

Fork Embellished with Champagne Glass Glitter, Vintage Tag, Key Trinket, Crochet Trim, Vanilla Seam Binding, Soft Suede Taffeta
