Big Shot Dresden Die Banner

We welcomed our new puppy Teague home last night and as a Stampin’ UP! demonstrator I couldn’t resist welcoming him with his own banner. I was inspired by RemARKable Robin Merriman (trinity designs) to use the new Big Shot Die Dresden Designs.
I know the banner won’t stay here long. As soon as we allow him to spend time unsupervised in his play area this will be removed so he is not tempted to chew on it.
But then I am sure we can find some place fun to put it.

Coloring Glimmer Paper – FUN place card holders

For these fun placecard holders I made I wanted my glimmer paper to have a gold tone to it. To do so I added some tea stain reinker to a little water and simply brushed the reinker over the silver glimmer paper. Let it dry and then use as desired.
Another trick I incorporated with this projects is the Big Shot Multi Purpose Self Adhesive sheets. I love, love, love, love, love this Stuff. Ok I really do like it. I adhered a full sheet to the back of my silver glimmer paper before cutting the letters I needed and then simply peel the back off and adhered to my christmas ball. It truly was “simply”. I love easy!
Nameplates created in MDS, Decor Elements Blocks, Rich Razzleberry Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Silver Glimmer paper, Tea Stain Refill, Brush, Timeless Type Big Shot Alphabet, Mocha Specialty Paper, Perfect Plum Designer Series paper, Simply Scored tool, Vintage Brads.
I used a multipurpose spray adhesive to add the mica flakes – worked like a charm and the ornament is glued to a based used for doll heads(wood findings aisle of your local craft store).

Sure hope the guests these placecards are for enjoy them!

Awesome Samples from our RemARKable Hot Retreat

Our RemARKablyHot Retreat is more than a crop. There is so much stamping, scrapping and crafting that happens. But more importantly so much sharing. You do not need to arrive with any planned projects just adhesive and cardstock and within minutes there are shared ideas to either CASE or inspire an original. This year I took all the 120+ swap cards from Founders Circle on display boards, we had over 20 stockings entered in our stocking contests, 11 amazing holiday trees with Stampin’ UP! decorations, a swap card contest with 30+ entries and a Holiday tag contest with 20+ entries. That’s IN ADDITION to the samples created throughout the weekend and placed on our SHOW N’ SHARE tables throughout the weekend.
My Favorite part of the weekend is the spirit of sharing as attendees help each other with a tool or technique they don’t understand or know about, as attendees graciously share their ideas freely on the show n’ share tables, as attendees share their supplies – I heard here just use mine so many times it brought tears to my eyes. The attendees at this retreat put the SHARE in Stampin’ UP!’s Statement of the Heart! It’s the attendees spirit that makes the weekend what it is!!!
EXAMPLES OF JUST SOME OF SAMPLES created or shared over the weeeknd…WOWOWOW

The last ingredient to a great weekend – FOOD – the hotels food is always amazing, our treat table with fruit and snacks is salty and sweet and there are always little stashes of goodies at the attendees tables. No matter the season a walk through the crafting room is like trick or treating!

RemARKable Hot Retreat More Fun – gLITTER patrol
Our semi annual RemARKable Hot Retreat is full of impromtu demos, amazing displays, lots of tools (2 of every punch, 6 big shot stations, almost every stamp, ink pads, embossing station, glitter station, etc), fun make n’takes, lots of laughter, good food, old friends and new friends. Join my mailing list today to get details on registering for our April 2012 event. Space is limited to 80 at each event.
One of the challenges with large events is the use of glitter and keeping it contained. My solution – this gLITTER pan – we set a powder pal tray down inside… working with the glitter “insdie” this tub has really made a difference. I used our silver shimmer paper stuck to our big shot multipurpose adhesive sheets, die but the letters peeled the backing off and simply stuck them on. Love that adhesive!

Found these tacky but fun metallic wreaths at a local store here and they were almost perfect for our RemARKable Hot Retreat this weekend. They still needed something “more” and that more was the words HOPE and JOY spelled out on Rosettes.
To create them I used two 12″ inch strips of designer paper nthat I adhered together after scoring to form one long strip and varied my widths 3″, 3 1/4″, 3 1/2″ and 4″.
Supplies – Mocha Specialty Designer paper, Brushed Gold Cardstock, Silver Glimmer Paper, Hot Glue Gun, Gold Cord, Simply Scored, Big Shot Serif Essentials

SPOOKY BINGO BITS Halloween Treat Box

Found this fun Advent Calendar box (try Amazon or HSN). It came unassembled and unfinished. I assembled then spray painted it. Next I cut DSP for the front of each drawer and created decorations for the center. I chose not to adhere directly to the center so that I can create a different insert at another time.
I love, love, love our silver glimmer paper and think it needs to be used on almost every project.
SUPPLIES- Spooky Bingo Bits Stamp Set, Jack of All Trades Stamp Set(another must have addition to your stamp collection), Pick your Poison Stamp Set, Whisper White Cardstock, Basic Black Cardstock, Basic Grey Cardstock, Spider Web Textured Impressions Folder, Wild Wasabi striped grosgrain, Crochet Trim, Linen Thread, Crumb Cake Taffeta Ribbon, Early Espresso Quilted Satin Ribbon, Floral Wire, Wooden Spools, Timeless Type Big Shot Alphabet.
