Repurposed Frame – 2010 Stampin’ UP! Catalog inspired
I was inspired by a sample in our new catalog to create this frame. Thankfully I had a frame here to case the project with. I had found this frame for around $10 on clearance – it’s one of those that comes with it’s own picture but the molding on it was cool. I knew I could do something with it so I picked up and stuck it way. So glad I had it.
I removed the backing, saved the mat, tossed the glass and the included picture. I then crackled the frame, stapled chicken wire (from my 2nd favorite craft store – Lowe’s – ok so my husband now knows why I shop at a Lowe’s with him -it’s a treasure trove of fun goodies for crafting), then added fabric to the mat and placed that in the frame. I created two fun tags, tied on some ribbon. Only thing left to do now is to print some black and white, sepia tones photos of Doug and I. I have lots of photo collages of the kids on the walls but none of Doug and I. I decided we deserved some wall space too!!

FRAME CLOSE UP -

FRAME After – found this great fabric that coordinates with my wall color – the chicken wire means I can simply clip photos, cards, mementos on.

Love the recycled frame. I think I want to make one to hang my earrings from. They will be easy to get to and have a great looking background. TOO Cute!
